Since Wednesday.
Since Wednesday, I've been in a state of utter content. With playing a show in front of people finally out of the way, I feel like the worst is over. The next shows, and maybe even the recordings will be fun and non-nerve wracking. People liked us, I'd like to think. even though most of them were our friends and we asked them to be there. They said they liked us anyway. And maybe they couldn't tell that we messed up a few times. Some other highlights:
We played the new song fairly well, despite only practicing it twice.
Someone yelled "Frenchmen fucking rule!" after we played.
Dancing music so nice that even Charles danced.
Free beers.
John's karaoke.
Ordering in spanish at the burrito place at 3 in the morning, because I get a kick out of that.
Falling asleep, crammed on the couch with Leon couldn't have been cozier.
The view from Fulton down accross the panhandle at 10 am and my new contacts for being able to see it.
Being in the bay area in the day time on a weekday made me feel naughty, like I was playing hooky.
Yum falafel lunch.
Sleepy afternoon drive back to Sacramento.
I think I like this band thing much better than having a radio show.
Later.
