Ouch.

My teeth feel extremely sensitive, as if my dental nerve endings have all been exposed. It's so bad that the slightest noises send surges of pain to my mouth. Shuffing paper, agony! The faint whisp of a marker on paper, kill me! Smoothing my hands over cloth, unbelieveable pain!!!

However, my smile is noticably whiter!

Bling, bling!

Going to New York.

I can't wait for my vacation. I need it so very badly...a break from my world. There are so many things I want to do and see when we go to ny. Here are some of them.

-See the Dakota (above). Former and current home of many famous people and more morbidly, where John Lennon was shot.
-Go to the observatory of the Empire State Building like they did in An Affair to Remember.
-Take a ferry around the Statue of Liberty.
-Visit the MOMA.
-Go shopping.
-See Central Park.
-See some of the different boroughs.
-Eat good italian food.
-Eat good knishes and black & white cookies.
-Try to get into a David Letterman taping.
-And of course all that other stuff like meeting family and hoping that they like me.

Only about three more weeks to go.

sonic death monkey

Yesterday I scored free tickets to the Sonic Youth show in SF tonight. I hope Becky can come with me. We've seen them this many times.

Last night I went to see Blue Crush at the drive in with some girls. It was totally corny and I got bitten up by mosquitoes, but it was fun. Basic plot: Some working class surfer girls face some kind of adversity. The main character competes in a competition and wins. Finally her money problems are solved when she meets and beds a pro football quarterback and gets a Billabong sponsorship.

Just so you know.

Webcam over the living room.

This image will refresh every 5 years. So who's the aol user that's been visiting me this weekend? Show yourself, mortal.

It stresses me out when people order food that they don't end up liking. If it were up to me, I would order food for everyone all over the world. Just a week or two ago, Leon ordered a plate of food at Ernesto's that he was so disappointed with and it made me so anxious that I traded food with him just to put myself at ease.

Does that make me nice or does that make me neurotic? Maybe a little of both.

Update.

I get so frustrated with people! In this past week, I've had experiences with bossy people, mean people, greedy people, classless and tacky people! And let's not forget the people that give you 50 cents and then expect you to make it rain. I can't give two shits about you people.
Please say yes.

Sushi date tonight. Maybe a movie, but probably not. Last night Ben came over and brought me a '60s fashion / beauty book. I'm so glad that people know that I collect these things. Mariah brought me some Time Life encylopedias recently and a hip '70s bible for teens named something along the lines of "God is Groovy!" It's much better than being pegged as the cat lady, but I don't think I can shake that image either seeing as how I received at least four birthday cards with cats on them.

Teeni, the condensed version:
Is tiny.
Loves children's encyclopedias from the '40s - '70s as well as
advice / beauty books for women and teens from the same era.
Loves cats.
Can't hold her liquor.
Loves Leon and cheese.
Is a Frenchmen.
Complains about her job sometimes.

That's all you need to know to get started.

Um.

Surprize. Being a bridesmaid is going to cost Teeni a lot more than orignally thought. I don't think I'll do it again.
Ever.

Tiny needs to relax.

My body aches. Please somebody dip me in hot mud, rinse me off, get Holga to rub me down, put smelly goop on me and slather some clay on my face because I feel like I'm falling apart.

Tiny drinks.

Thursday night we business dinnered, drank, drank and danced. The food was okay at Centro's, but the conversation and tequila shots were better. Then we went to the Depot and then on to Faces for go-go dancing boys and some bad dance steps to even worse house music. I got home somehow...I think someone drove me and I shambled up the stairs to bed. I woke up sicker than I'd been in a while and much sicker than I expected to be for only having four drinks. Thinking I just need greasy hashbrowns, I drove to Carl's Jr. for my fix and some juice but barely made it though the drive thru. Deciding it better that I didn't go to work after all, it took all my effort to make the drive home. No sooner that I found a parking spot in front of my building, was I able to grab my plastic sick bag (never be without one) and make a hearty contribution. It could have been worse, I guess. So I slept most of the afternoon and hoped that no one would notice that I didn't make it into the office. Three cheers to record labels that have no qualms about taking you out to eat, getting drunk with you and then taking you dancing on a weeknight.

Ringy Dingy.

So I was thinking that some rings are boring. And if anyone who wanted to be so inclined to give me one for whatever reason, that they might have the fine taste to pick out something unique. Not like a macaroni necklace, though one would not be refused, but something like that pictured above. Or below.

Or below that.

I mean, it could be very possible that I'm dying of a disease, who's only cure is a fancy ring from Tiffany's in a size 6 1/2.

Chi-Chi.

Just back from my trip to LA. It was okay, I guess. I can only view LA as I see it in the movies: seedy, dirty, too much traffic, and many, many artificially blonde people. I had lots of boring meetings, schmoozing and food...great food, like dinner at Asia de Cuba, a fancy place underneath the Mondrian and Chandarae (best Thai food I've ever had).
Yesterday I cased Ameoba in Hollywood. Great store, even bigger than the one on Haight. They had their own stage and PA. I found a June Brides 12" in the used section. They're the best chain around.
My hotel room was bigger than my apartment. The excess in that town exceeds anything I've ever seen on this coast. I saw no movie stars.

The worst thing ever.

On Saturday I was just telling someone that I felt very fortunate that I hadn't had to experience any deaths in quite sometime. That night when I got home, I found out that my best friend's brother had been murdered. She talked, I listened mostly. We cried together. Bird, what have you been through?

Teeni.

Teeni, who are you? I found out that strange people are coming to my page by searching google for Teeni. Except someone who is using Earthlink in North America that came to this page via Geocities.

So far.

New web cam image. This is me chilling out with my glasses on.

So how am I doing on my new year resolutions? Let's see.

New Year Resolutions:
1. Stop chewing fingers when nervous.
I still do this.

2. Get furniture.
We have all the furniture we need right now, except a decent bookshelf and a bakers rack for the kitchen.

3. Save money.
I started to save money, but then I bought a car.

4. Lose weight.
I've lost about 6-7 pounds, but recently gained 2-3 back.

5. Eat less junk.
I totally eat less junk now.

6. Consume less caffeine.
I really cut the caffine. I can't even finish my weekly Pepsi.

7. Travel.
Well, I went to OC in May, going to LA next week and NY at the end of September.

8. Give more love.
I give much love.

9. Have a potluck dinner at our new apartment.
Nah, it's too small. But we did host a Kings playoff party with about 11 people and I cooked for everyone.

Not too shabby.

Some things that may or may not have happpened.

I, too have added a webcam to my page. This is me sleeping. The image will refresh randomly.
Many things happened yesterday. Some of them were funny and I meant to write them down, but have since forgotten what they were. Oh well.
Happy late birthday Teeni Blog. I meant to get you a card, but it slipped my mind.

Shh.

Unless I've sent you the link to get here.....you can just turn around and look the other way, because this is my boring life.

Sigh.

Okay, that depressing entry was my post from yesterday that I couldn't post because of a funny server problem. It was not funny to me. I feel better now. Last night I worked out, had a killer burrito, drank some beer and played some music. I overslept this morning, waking to a cloudy sky and a breezy breeze. Maybe that's all I needed. A change in the rut, some indulgence, the weather on my terms.

Horoscope:
It's a super day to make decisions, dear Pisces. As a Pisces you can sit on the fence when it comes to serious choices for a little too long. Seize the energy that's flowing from today's planetary aspects, make a list of things that need to be decided on including work, relationships and finances and go down the list one by one. Don't be afraid of making a mistake. Better this than missing out entirely, don't you think?

Decision: Where are we going, what are we doing?! What should I be doing?
Answer: Just chill out.

Decision: When should I or should I finish school?
Answer: When I pay of my car in five years. I only have a semester of classes left and I'll only be 30. Only 30.

Decision: Produce or end the gene line? I'm getting older. I might have mentioned that.
Answer: Produce. Someday with someone.

Decision: Should I get rid of my dandruff?

Answer: Sure, when I decide to wash my hair everyday.

Where did my archives go?

Roll, bounce.

Last night I dreamed that I told someone:
I don't want to skate through my twenties and thirties not doing the things that I hoped I would.

You know, I guess I really don't want that to happen. So I guess it's up to me to change that. Ride this week out and see what happens.
