JT Leroy finally unmasked. Times article confirms. But we knew this already. What I want to know is how do all those celebrities feel knowing now that they were duped.
i never followed this stuff while it was happening. but it is so bizarre. i think the ironic part about it is that the writer's own son is probably going to have one fucked up childhood from the experience of the family living a lie for the sake of profit/fame. i want to know more about this reading in rome where ms. albert was hidden under a table. what?
Ever since I first started hearing about this, I just thought, ya know...why? The whole reason behind the facade turned out to be so irrelavent. Nothing interesting lesson was actually learned in finding out that JT Leroy wasn't a real person.
Basically, a lot of people got duped and lied to simply for the sake that somebody, for no good reason other than for kicks, thought it would be cooler to write these novels while pretending to be the main charachter.
