I wanted to cry, but I didn't. None of these jeans even pretended to make me look nice. Not a one!

It was a nice day out. I went for a walk on my lunch break to go pick up some boots I had repaired. My walk took me through Capitol Park. It was abloom in blossoms! Against today's vibrantly blue sky and cottonball clouds, it was all so amazing! Bring it spring!
So I picked up my boots. Love! They have been restored. I had let them go too long without attention. I bought them at a thrift store and back then, they were the perfect amount of worn. In the last year, I guess I've been too rough with them. They've been through rain and about a hundred miles of walking. The soles wore through and the color around the toes faded from tawny to gray. Now, they're perfectly tawny all over, still butter soft and the soles are seriously solid.
The guy that repaired them was quite proud. Showing me the before and after photo he snapped on his phone, I couldn't believe the difference. What a craftsman!

We went to SF this weekend and tried to hit up a couple of brew spots. Unfortunately for us, our visit coincided with Beer Week, which meant that every brew pub with a nice selection was off the chain, standing room only busy. We decided to skip the popular places and just hit Whole Foods on the way out of town.
This was our take: Cuvee De Ranke (Leon was freaking out over that), a bunch of Russian River brews (Supplication, Sancification and Temptation), a couple of Sculpins and a Belgian-style ale called Sofie that I wanted to try.
To afford this, we are all eating bread and water until I get paid. That's fine with Ira, because that's all we feed him anyway.

Leon made me a pizza and it tasted just like Zelda's. That is true love, people. In case you're wondering, true love has a lot of garlic on it.
