I couldn't resist taking this picture of Heylove because she looked so upset. She hates baths. She was such a filthy beast we had to hose her down, whether she liked it or not. There's no ammount of liver treats in the world that can make a bath better for her.

i got to see beardsley give his dog a bath yesterday. it's pretty amusing cuz simba actually enjoys being sprayed with the hose. he bites at the water and barks and jumps and smiles. he's the only dog i know who actually likes the bath.
Simba is a lab, right? Labs love water. My poor little ribs lacks the water loving gene.
yep. simba is a lab/rott mix. i think that is why he likes the water so much. but, it's also why he sheds a butt load of fur on a daily basis. ribs is a bit less sheddy, right?
She sheds and it looks like someone lost an eyelash!
Charline's Dachshund Mathilda did the same thing with water. In fact, if you turned off the hose, she'd cry for a long time.
Okay, okay, maybe we screwed up. When tiny brisket was a baby, we made everything a game with a treat reward. Go potty outside, get a treat! Go in the crate, get a treat! For her first bath, we just sort of plopped her in the sink and went for it. We should have made it more about treats. Maybe she would have been more like Mathilda.
We used to smear peanut butter on the side of the sink as a distraction. That's "getting a treat" kinda
