I've been sick, but not sick enough to miss a night of beers and company at this pub.

Fell asleep with the dog in bed. She snored louder than me.

I am sick with something. At first I thought it was allergies, but it's more like a cold now.

Today I meant to go home and eat chowder, but I forgot that I had already made lunch plans. We ate at Carol's, which is a little diner in West Sac.

Hopefully this grilled cheese can help me fend off whatever it is that I have.

Ah. I corrected yesterday's lunch with a giant plate of navajo quesadillas at Ernestos. The best part was getting charged for two top shelf margaritas when I asked for the original margaritas. Those sneaky waiters...
No really, that wasn't the best part. The best part was getting this fabulous tchotchke from Tecate. A tiny red maraca with a bottle opener fashioned into the handle. Who needs anything else? Well, maybe the only thing that would make it better is if it also served as a magic beer wand. You could wave it at a simple glass of water and it would transform into beer instantly.

...recommended a place to eat. Well, I ate there and I wasn't happy with my food at all. In fact, I need to go correct it tonight. When I say I'm going to correct it, I mean that I am going to right the wrong that was this terrible food, by enjoying food of the same ethnicity that I know I love. So I'm going to beg Leon to take me to Ernesto's tonight. I need some froo-froo "mexican" food stat.

When I recommend a place to eat, I feel totally responsible if the person I give the directive to doesn't like it. But that's just my remnant catholic guilt.
